More About Me

Background

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I have worked in community mental health and school-based mental health settings, primarily with children ages 2-13 using an attachment theory, family systems, and trauma-focused approach.

As a therapist, I’m especially passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where even the youngest clients can thrive. I believe in the power of play, laughter, and a little bit of silliness — while also helping families work through the challenges that are impacting their everyday lives.

My approach is warm, playful, and collaborative. I use developmentally appropriate, evidence-based strategies to meet children where they are, while also working closely with parents and caregivers to build tools that support growth at home and beyond. It is my true passion to partner with families as they build stronger connections, find new ways to communicate, and grow together.

Specialties

I have a special passion for supporting kids who are neurodivergent, those in foster care or adoptive families, and children who have experienced trauma. I believe every child deserves to be seen, heard, and understood—especially when their story includes challenges that are often misunderstood or overlooked. Whether we’re working through sensory needs, attachment disruptions, emotional regulation, or identity and belonging, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside children and their caregivers on their journey toward resilience and hope.
