Family Therapy
What is Family Therapy?
Family therapy involves a therapist meeting with all members of a family to learn how the system is functioning. The therapist will help to educate what is working and what is not working and why. Family therapy offers the opportunity for the system to become whole in order to move forward in a healthier way through communication and conflict resolution.
How does Family Therapy work?
Often times, family therapy occurs when one (or more) family member(s) is struggling and there is a desire to make changes in the system for the better. Examples of this could be, but not limited to: a family member struggling with addiction problems, a teen or adolescent struggling in school, a member diagnosed with a terminal illness or a physical disability. We offer family therapy in a talk therapy setting as well as an art therapy setting.

“There are no individuals in the world, only fragments of families.”
