More About Me

Background

In my work at Invigorate, I provide ongoing individual and group consultation and supervision to build and maintain a strong foundation for the Invigorate team, and to prepare new therapists to be successful in the mental health field.

I have more than 12 years of  experience in healing complex trauma with individuals and families. I look at issues and patterns through a trauma-informed lens to help my team collaborate and facilitate encouragement, change, and healing with their clients. I have a passion for using trauma-informed therapies such as  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), SE (Somatic Experiencing), and the attachment theory to assist my clients and families with the trauma healing process.

As Invigorate’s clinical leader, I have successfully mentored and developed many emerging therapists. I primarily use self-as-therapist and an open and direct approach to mentor and support therapists entering the field for the first time. I am a Minnesota Board Approved Supervisor for MFT, LPC, and LPCC licensure boards and provide regular ongoing individual and group supervision for post-graduates.
