More About Me

Background

Making a positive impact in the lives of children, individuals and their families has always been a motivating element in my life. I am passionate about advocating and empowering the marginalized voices in the community as well as breaking dysfunctional intergenerational patterns.

I have experience working with children with complex, adverse experiences and special needs; in addition to adults with mental and/or physical disabilities. One of my career goals is to provide the next generation with the tools and techniques they need, to thrive in an ever-changing world, while helping them grow into their authentic selves.

Some of my special interests include: inner child work, Mother/Father wounds, identity exploration, intergenerational trauma, conflict management, sex/ kink positive and ethically non-monogamous couples.

I utilize a variety of modalities depending on what is a good fit for each client. Mindfulness is key in helping regulate the body, and it becomes a powerful aid in defining a problem, identifying the cause of said problem and implementing refreshing solutions. I firmly believe that the more we understand about ourselves, the more we understand about our relationship to others. This clarity only further assists us in learning how to mitigate the many stressors in our lives.

I recently completed my Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University (formerly Northcentral University). I am currently on the road to licensure, which is the next exciting phase of my career!

I offer online and in-person sessions in the St. Paul office.
