More About Me
Background
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I have experience providing therapy in community mental health and school-based settings, working primarily with children ages 2–13. In my time at Invigorate, I have loved working with teens and young adults, especially those navigating queerness, anxiety, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in attachment theory, family systems, and trauma-informed care. I am also trained in the diagnosis and treatment of young children ages 0–5 using the DC:0–5™ Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood.
My approach is warm, playful, and collaborative. I use developmentally appropriate, evidence-based strategies to meet each client where they are, tailoring treatment to their unique developmental stage, strengths, and goals. Whether I’m working with young children through play, supporting teens as they navigate identity and relationships, or helping young adults manage life’s transitions, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. When working with children, I also partner closely with parents and caregivers to build skills and strategies that foster growth at home, at school, and beyond.
I consider it a true privilege to walk alongside children, teens, young adults, and their families as they strengthen relationships, improve communication, and build resilience. As a therapist, I’m especially passionate about creating an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe in the healing power of connection, play, laughter, and a little bit of silliness, while also providing compassionate support through the challenges that impact everyday life.
Specialties
I have a special passion for supporting neurodivergent, queer, or anxious children, teens, and young adults, as well as those in foster care or adoptive families and individuals who have experienced trauma. I believe every young person deserves to be seen, heard, and understood, especially when their story includes challenges that are often misunderstood or overlooked. Whether we’re working through sensory needs, attachment disruptions, emotional regulation, identity development, life transitions, or questions of belonging, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients and their caregivers as they build resilience, strengthen relationships, and find hope.
