HI, I AM ABBY
(she/her)
MFT Practicum Student Intern
I believe in making therapy a place to feel safe, to slow down and be curious. My therapeutic style is calm, warm and collaborative – affirming that hard work can happen in soft places.
I’ll invite you to slow down, pay attention, and stay curious about those ‘stuck’ places. I work with couples and individuals to create a space to notice patterns and shift narratives towards greater agency and a stronger connection with the people and world around us.

More About Me
Background
Previously I worked in the nonprofit sector, including several years with climate justice organizations and as a Social Prescribing Link Worker with the UK National Health Service.
I view the challenges people face through a systemic lens, keeping our innate ability as humans to be resilient at the forefront of my worldview. I also draw from the creative process as a powerful tool to tap into the hardwiring of human minds to create within and around ourselves.
Specialties
My work is guided by the idea that healing is not just personal, but relational, ecological, and often nonlinear. I’m especially drawn to the ‘art’ of therapy and will often use deep listening, presence, and creativity to support people through change. I practice a culturally responsive, strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, and have a special interest in:
- Anger
- Aging & Older Adults
- Couples Counseling
- Depression
- Grief and loss
- Men’s mental health issues
- Nature-based therapy
- Pre-marital
- Sex and/or Intimacy Issues
- Trauma
- Women’s mental health issues
Personal Interests
When I’m not at Invigorate, nature, music, movement, and creating are all key to how I connect with myself and the world. I am also drawn to travel adventures, cool climates, wool fibers, and always – dark chocolate.
