HI, I AM ABBY (She/Her/They/Them)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
I like bringing a warm yet goofy energy to sessions that encourages you to be authentic and comfortable. I’ll be there listening and reflecting back the things I notice when you are processing through whatever is coming, no matter what it may be. I won’t pull you along or “break down” your walls, but instead walk alongside you in your journey of discovery.

More About Me
Background
My theoretical orientation is a hybrid of a humanistic, person-centered, and strengths based approach. More simply, this means I understand that people have the strength within themselves to grow and make less harmful choices. Even when it feels like things are coming out sideways, I truly believe people are resilient and powerful.
I want to work with you to identify those “sideways things” and help you realign with a path that ultimately feels good to you. Therapy is an incredible journey and I look forward to walking alongside you.
Specialties
As a body positive therapist, I love working with folx exploring sex, intimacy, and identity. Through a feminist, sex positive lens, I work with couples and individuals as they work on issues relating to:
- Gender exploration
- Sexual orientation
- Sexual trauma
- Navigating non-monogamy
- Exploring kinks
- Differences in desire
- Processing body image related to dysphoria and/or dysmorphia
- Working through shame related to sex/sexuality
Personal Interests
In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature and hiking in Minnesota’s state parks. I love making things, observing the changes of the moon and seasons, and biking all over!

- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Minnesota Board (License #2238)
- Master of Arts Degree, Counseling Psychology, University of Saint Thomas, Minneapolis, MN
