More About Me

Background

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life. I believe offering encouragement, education and supportive guidance are all critical elements of the therapy process. I have firsthand experience with how encouragement can facilitate change! I possess the ability to listen without judgment or blame, and create a warm and welcoming environment centered on affirming your needs.

I feel privileged and honored to be allowed inside the lives of so many diverse individuals through my work as a therapist. I feel it is a distinct honor to help others navigate through difficult circumstances, relationships, emotions, and create authentic connections with all my clients. As a therapist, I am genuinely interested in my clients and work to develop a deep understanding of their worldview so I can encourage them to make the necessary changes for the betterment of their lives.

Specialities

I specialize in working with couples and provide support for a range of martial stages from premarital counseling to navigating the process of divorce. I have a strong ability to identify the core issues in couple relationships and enjoy the process of helping couples move forward in a healthy and collaborative way.

I also really enjoy working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, body image issues, low self-esteem, PTSD, ADHD, and anyone going through transition or simply needing additional resources and support. As an EMDR therapist, I am able to see my clients’ experiences through a trauma lens and help them heal through the EMDR process. To learn more about EMDR, click here.
