More About Me
Background
I am direct and collaborative when working with the parts of you that are wounded. To learn more about Internal Family Systems (IFS), click here. I believe by exploring the past and learning how our current identity was formed, we can create change in ourselves and relationships with others. I am able to ask questions to help you think critically and promote insight.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug counselor with a certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Metropolitan State University.
Specialties
I specialize in couples and relational work. I help couples see what is happening for them intrapersonally and how it affects their relationship with their partner(s). I am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and have assisted many premarital partnerships on their way to long term success.
In addition to my work with couples, I also enjoy working with families, their identities and conflicts. I am not afraid of conflict when working with family systems, and can help families navigate towards solutions.
I also work with adult individuals who are experiencing a variety of concerns including trauma, anxiety, identity and life changes. I have experience working individually and in group settings with the chemical health community and enjoy supporting people experiencing mental health and substance abuse.
