More About Me
Background
I am a Psychotherapist with my Master’s of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. We all deserve to live the life we truly want, and I believe that no matter what trauma(s) we live with, healing is possible.
I love to work with adults on issues such as middle-age, sexuality, menopause, life transitions, aging families, and adult children as caregivers. I work with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
After working for 34 years in the restaurant industry, I am able to use that experience to work with clients on a variety of issues such as non-typical work schedules, substance use concerns, work/life balance, and toxic work environments.
As a therapist, I’m genuinely invested in my clients, working to develop a deep understanding of your unique worldview because, let’s face it, the world looks different from everyone’s perspective. I create an inclusive space where everyone feels seen and valued. My approach is holistic and strengths-based, blending principles from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic therapy. I imagine it like tending to a garden, with your mind, body, and relationships as different types of plants, each needing care and attention to thrive. By recognizing and nurturing the diverse aspects of your inner world and interconnected relationships, I help you make meaningful changes that enhance your overall well-being and promote a balanced, fulfilling life.
