Somatically Informed Practices

What are Somatically Informed Practices?

Somatically Informed practices originate from The Somatic Experiencing® method created by Dr. Peter A. Levine. Somatically informed practices use the body to release trauma, which is key to transforming trauma and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma. Those who use somatically informed practices use a variety of techniques ranging from yoga movement, vagus nerve stimulation, body movement, the breath, and more.
